Description (Abstract)

I propose to have my Fine Arts research included in the 2026 Molloy Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference. Art provides an emotional, subjective and qualitative experience which quantitative methods do not capture. Through landscape paintings and artworks, the audience gets transported into this psychological escape. The canvas acts as a window which creates a soul-soothing retreat from a person's daily life. When different people look at the same creation, oftentimes the artwork is depicted differently, and that is the beauty of fine arts. I will be creating three pieces of art, size 14” x 18”, for this conference. I will paint landscapes which will portray the different seasons, but with the underlying meaning of the seasons people face throughout their life. It is natural for every living thing to go through difficult times, but it is important to remember that there is beauty in every stage of a person's life. Research based artworks will be shared using a posterboard.
