Description (Abstract)

I am proposing my Fine Arts research “Self-Portrait- The Mind, The Body, The Spirit”, for the Molloy Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference-MURC 2026. The sizes of my 3-artworks are 14 x17 inches. The piece shares with the viewer my research interpretation of self-growth and the impact of the positive outlets I use when I am stressed or anxious. It shares why these outlets are such an important part of me. The charcoal drawing represents the parts; faith and love for working out. The acrylic color painting represents the whole of me. Expressing how the two parts create one colorful whole. This conference would give me a chance to share my fine arts research with my fellow students, and fellow professors, about the impact of positive outlets to better oneself. This opportunity would be a fantastic way to form connections and common relations among peers. My research-based artworks will be shared using a poster board.
