Description

This is a handmade Burmese character puppet representing Zawgyi. Zawgyi in traditions is depicted as a magician, alchemist, or shaman. this puppet is thought to have powerful healing abilities, for instance, if his magic stick touches an individual who is ill they should quickly recover. This puppet is made from cloth (various materials), string, and wood.
