Description
The Peyton Heart Project was created in 2015 in an effort to create a global project intend to help end suicide and bullying and the stigma surrounding mental health issues This heart was crocheted from rainbow-colored yarn in memory of Tyler Clementi (1991- 2010), an 18-year-old who ended his life by jumping off the George Washington Bridge as a result of cyber harassment (a form of cyberbullying) over his sexual orientation. This heart was produced before May 1st 2016 so that it could be distributed during New York City’s Gay Pride March which took place on June 26, 2016.
