Description
This is an Army of Occupation medal which was awarded to U.S. Army personnel who served 30 consecutive days of service in occupied territories of former enemies after WWII. Due to the fact that West Berlin was considered an occupied territory, the Army of Occupation Medal was issued for forty-five years until all of Germany was unified in 1990.
