Description

This is a Red Cross Uniform worn by women and girl volunteers only. The volunteer dress is made of blue and white striped dacron-cotton and is a two-piece dress, consisting of skirt and overblouse zippers all the way down the front. On the upper left side of the overblouse, there is a patch that reads "American Red Cross Volunteer." According to the label in the overblouse (unphotographed), the uniform was produced by the Hoover company located in New York, NY. A matching cap is also worn with this uniform as well, which contains a Red Cross Emblem stitched to the front.
