Description
This is a dark blue wool nursing cape with the letters "HHSN" sewn in red onto the outside of the cape surrounded by a red circle. The letters are believed to indicate that this cape was given to a student of the Hartford Hospital School of Nursing during her capping ceremony. The inside of the cape is lined in red wool and has three large letters EFS(T?) written in script below the maker's tag. The maker's tag indicates that this cape was produced by D. Klein's & Bro. Inc located in Philadelphia P.A. An additional tag was found by the inside pocket which reads "The Californian Cape."
