Description
The Camino de Santiago de Compostela, which runs across northern Spain, is one of the oldest and most famous pilgrmage routes in the world. Traveled by millions of people throughout the centuries, the Camino ( literally, “The Way”) is actually several different routes, all leading to the historic pilgrmage city of Santiage de Compostela. This program takes students along the Camino Ingles ( The English Way) a pilgrimage route that travels along the Spanish coast for 100 kilometers (62 miles) and which passes through charming Spanish towns and beautiful green countryside. Althought this program is not too physically demanding, it does require the ability to walk several miles a day. Students should be in general good health in order to participate.
