Abstract
Molloy University is coming up on the ten-year anniversary of its reputable Capstone program. Students who have successfully completed the curriculum are now Molloy University alum who continue to become today’s pursued young professionals, and are those who continue to get involved with civic engagement within their professional careers. The students who worked with ‘live’ non-profits across Long Island for this course continue to serve them today as well as have created new relationships with other non-profits over the years. Molloy students are now part of the fabric of these reputable non-profits helping them to move their missions forward toward social good. This semester’s senior project was focused on fundraising tactics with the use of influencer collaboration. The students used advanced technology to leverage new and existing partnerships toward the common good. This project was both a personal and academic success for our students in that we successfully engaged in hands-on transformational learning, which we pride ourselves on via the Molloy mission, with this type of real-world endeavor.
This particular consulting team did a commendable job when presenting its turnkey recommendations to its client. It assisted a newly shaped non-profit toward reaching its aspirational goals, assisting children who have recently lost an immediate family member to a terminal illness and/or the pandemic. This project has made its mark on the hearts and minds of our students as well as the School of Business. The School is proud of their accomplishments and can already see the difference we are making collectively in society while continuing to grow our relationships with alum and our Capstone partners.
