Description
This is an envelope addressed to Miss Annie Pickard of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The envelope features an image of Balto and a description explaining that he was the lead dog of the last sled team that raced to bring medical supplies to Nome, Alaska in an effort to save children with diphtheria. The envelope is also stamped with the first day of issue.
